Mrs. Johnson was considered an educator extrodinaire who taught at the St. John's Girls School for 22 years, specializing in craft.  She worked at the Ministry of Education as Supervisor of Girl's Handicraft and Secretary to the Administrator of Local and Overseas Examinations.  She also taught at the Foundation Mixed (Miss Davis) School.


Mrs. Johnson's students  remember her selfless dedication and hardwork in moulding their lives for the better.  Her service will never be forgotten.

Mr. Edgar Davis was a noted educator and was the first Principal of the Clare Hall Secondary School (1971-1979)  He also served as a teacher at the Jennings Secondary School, Antigua Grammar Scool and the Foundation Mixed School where he was Deputy Principal.  He will be remembered as a very pleasant and friendly individual with a ready smile.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Josephine Frederick also known as Phina of JohnHughes village. She died at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre on Friday 27th May, 2022.  


She leaves to mourn her children  Elenora Josiah-Jarvis Shanell Josiah Lashawn Morton Latoya Richardson and Trisa Frederick 


Her grandchildren Nathalia Francis, Jordan Burnham, Denzia Jarvis, Kelvin Jarvis Paris Frederick and Justin Josiah 


She also leaves to mourn her sisters   Augusta Frederick Veronica Frederick Violet Frederick in Miami.  Her brothers  Clive Frederick in Iowa, Hubert Frederick in St. Croix, Emmanuel Frederick  (deceased ) and Joseph Daley (deceased)

She was also related to the Frederick’s in Old Road, Sea View Farm and Liberta.  


Josephine was a friendly person and she had many friends to include:  Junie Walker, Ugg Spencer, Sylvester Hurst, Winston Henry, Leslie Williams, Winston Richardson, Ellie of Happy Kids store, Keithroy Charles, Eddie Cochrane, Laura Daniel. Friends of the John Hughes community and the Vendor’s Mall (Heritage Quay)  She has many more friends too numerous to mention.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” (Psalm 116:15)


The death is announced of Mrs. Eulynsene Louisa Joseph, formerly of Five Islands but who last resided at Golden Grove. Her peaceful passing took place on Wednesday 27th April 2022.


She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Miriam Batchelor of Five Islands and her husband Egbert Joseph.


Children

Egbert Joseph Jr. , Anderson Cleave and his wife Patlyn Joseph, Molvie and her husband Zorol Barthley, Vaughn and his wife Alanna Joseph, Anastasia and her husband Orrin Richards, and Antoinette Joseph. She was also the step-mother of Deborah and her husband Daven Joseph.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Ezekiel Henry better known as Wussman of Skerrits Pasture and formerly of Potters Village. He died on Wednesday 16th March 2022.


He leaves to mourn his wife Juliette Henry and her children, Rose Khan, Dave, Ronald, Catherine, Glade, Judith, Sherile and Edith Telamaque.  


He also leaves to mourn his children, Anthony and Dion Emmanuel and their families, Paulette Colbourne and family, Acting Inspector in the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda-Evette Henry and family, Colene, Wesley, Ken, Dwayne and Kim Henry and their families, Elvis Richards and family, Naomi Active (deceased) and family, Cleopatra Alexander and her family and Juliana Smith and family.


Also mourning his passing is his very good friend, Rita Martin.


Victor was the sibling of the late Beatrice Henry and family, Arlene Williams-Smith better known as Mother B and family, David Henry and family, Nelson George Henry and family and Menellis Joseph and family.


May his soul rest in eternal peace.
